The Mandala Assessment Research Instrument (MARI Card Test) is a non-verbal assessment instrument developed by art therapist Joan Kellogg, and based mainly on the work of Carl Jung. It has been in use for 30 years as a psychological assessment tool to:
- Identify personal, career, social, health, and relationship issues in a person’s life
- Assess a person’s readiness and energy to work on these issues
- Uncover unconscious blocks and conflict about particular areas in the person’s life development
- Identify conflicts in the development of a career/project or a relationship.
The MARI will be of primary interest to mental health professionals, art therapists, music therapists, bodyworkers, nurses, and personal and business coaches seeking to offer their clients useful insights and a means of tracking progress through the developmental stages of the life cycle.
The MARI courses include training in the MARI Card test and the Drawn Mandala, administration and interpretation skills and practice, clinical applications of the assessment tool, supervised practice, case studies, indications and contraindications with various clinical populations, and professional ethics.
