GIM Level I
Level I
Four day intensive
You won’t believe what you will learn about the healing and transformative power of music in just four days! Are you a professional in the areas of mental health, medicine, music therapy, art therapy, personal coaching? Would you be interested in learning additional mind-body approaches such as meditation, guided imagery, and the expressive arts to integrate into your practice? We offer this exceptional professional training which will deepen your experience with these practices, as well as evoke a more profound relationship with music.
Imagine yourself in the beautiful, natural environment of a retreat center nestled into the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. You arrive ready to explore this holistic, music-centered approach. You are invited into different experiences of listening and relating to music, so you will be able to offer it to clients as your co-therapist for tapping inner resources of mindful self-awareness. Your sense of time becomes aligned with kairos, also known as soul time. A balanced curriculum guides you through learning the potential of GIM and experiencing the guiding and traveling process. By the last day of the training, it is amazing to realize that as you prepare to journey back home, you carry more than a manual in your bag back with you – you carry a new relationship with music, yourself, and the potential for transformation in your work.
